Re: This weekend’s NL playoff finals

Now Worthing are staying down, throw some of the Stokes/WBA/TV money at them for Ollie Pearce It’d be good to get him but the strong rumour is that he’ll be off to York to join his former manager, Adam Hinshelwood, who joined them the back end of February. However, would he prefer to stay down sout...

Re: New Away Kit 2024/25

Still, at least it’s a change from the disrespectful Argentina kit. I’m from an army family and was DISGUSTED at the team representing the home of the British army having such a kit!! Bit of an over-reaction no? My Grandad was severely injured at Dunkirk and my Great Uncle was killed on Lancasters ...

Re: England C v Nepal - Any Squad News?

The Nepalese team will be full of players from Nepal, they will be small and fast but when we fill our team with 6' plus giants and hoof the ball in the air we will win easily

Re: Ground Development Update from The Chairman

I'm no fan of plastic pitches, but considering we won't be challenging for promotion anytime soon and not much football has been played on the grass one we have in recent years, I think it's madness not to give serious consideration to having one installed. If there is serious money to be generated...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

One thing I'd love to se and it won't cost much is GOALS WITH STANCHIONS !!!!! I can't stand the box goals every tedious ground has. You can't score a great goal unless the net is angled by stanchions! Especially as they offer a secondary target for top bins efforts, with goals counting double if t...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

Made me think of the goal Steve Melledew scored the high street end when he took a cross on the volley fully in his stride and tucked the ball away, the ball went around the stantion taking the net with it. I can still see in my mind the oppo player trying to untangle it!

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

Is there any reason why the football club should be given a lease on all this land owned by Rushmoor council ? The council owns the land the club operates on, surely they should have been investing and overseeing the development themselves ? I would have more faith in having a stadium in public own...
