Re: PSF suggestion
Ipswich Town - I was speaking to a fan on Thursday who knew all about Josh Stokes and Aldershot Town and said it would be a game he would attend.
He also told me a season ticket for Ipswich Town is £396 next term!!!!

Re: Community Stand Scheme feedback
A wonderful initiative. If only I could remember the Club that did research and concluded that if you get a kid as a supporter by 6, they are with you for life.

Re: England C v Nepal - Any Squad News?
Unless their footballing Hero was playing for the Shots. Proper missed financial opportunity, which is surprising considering. [emoji50] Evening mick, I’m sure if these people were interested they’d have been coming for about a decade by now, if you’re not interested you’re not interested I think w...

Re: England C v Nepal - Any Squad News?
I don't necessarily agree on signing a Nepalese player, just to try and boost interest and attendances. Players should only ever be signed for football reasons and to sign someone on the assumption that it'll attract Asian fans seems like a bit of a stereotype to me. For sure. Only if they are up t...

Re: Council election
I always find it interesting to ask people to define “wokeness” and exactly how this concept - which traditionally meant being alert to social injustices - “restricts our liberties”, preferably in clear and measurable terms. Also, shouldn’t inclusivity be encouraged? Perhaps those labelled as "...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
It seems blindingly obvious that removing the East Bank would divide opinions amongst the fans. It is unconscionable that anyone could see the removal of the East Bank as a good move. And it's been done deliberately! It's actually outrageous and quite alarming. A fractious consultation could see fur...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
The new development is essential to attract new investment and better players imo. I feel that Shots are stagnating in this league, we need to move on and the new ground is a crucial first step. However, the club does need the new facilities to raise revenue on non match days which will also give i...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
I said it before and I will say it again - the proposed redevelopment of the Rec will be a disaster - losing the majority of the East Bank, (our biggest selling point), no tangible car parking on match days, and no new weekday income streams. Mark my words. The current proposed design is fitting in...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Not sure what, if any impact this might have regarding the redevelopment: Councils with the biggest debt burdens Spelthorne: £1.1bn debt, 86.9x income Woking: £1.97bn debt, 62x income Eastleigh: £528m debt, 41.1x income Runnymede: £643m debt, 23.4x income Worthing: £204m debt, 14.4x income Surrey H...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
The flats development won’t fund a stadium redevelopment but it will allow the football club to move into profit briefly. I’m not expecting the current owners to hang around very long when it does. I would just ask where you think the >£7m. is going to come from…. It’s not where the £7 million is c...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Is there any reason why the football club should be given a lease on all this land owned by Rushmoor council ? The council owns the land the club operates on, surely they should have been investing and overseeing the development themselves ? I would have more faith in having a stadium in public own...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Yes, sadly there have been times in the past (granted this was pre Azeem) where I had tried to liaise with the club with regards to organising events and they all ended up as non starters for one reason or another. In the end I stopped trying as it was always met with such resistance. In more recen...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Something unique to raise capital for the club, my thoughts are a beer keller type of venue, with staff in lederhausan and bavarian outfits, ompah band etc serving basket meals like Frankfurter, schnitzel etc. Going with disco to follow, ideal for work do's, hen and stag nights, groups just enjoyin...
