Re: Pat Nash
Interesting use of language While most players call Mr Widdrington 'The Boss' or 'The Gaffer', Pat Nash happily calls him 'Tommy' A mark of confidence? This is just a suggestion but maybe its because until now Tommy has not been his "Gaffer" or "Boss". Although he has spent a fa...

Re: Weekly Shots News
I have just received my "Weekly Shots News" email and decided to click on the season ticket tab within it and it took me to the Ebbsfleet United Season Ticket page, not a good start for the new ticketing system. I most certainly do not want a season ticket at Ebbsfleet United. Just tried ...

Re: Close season - A bit of fun question
I think I’d have to go for 50 - 40 BC and take a trip across to Italy for a week or two in Rome during the period of intense political change. I love the idea of being in an amphitheatre for some games and just wandering the streets to see how the population lived their lives. We get so many glimps...

Re: Close season - A bit of fun question
I thought this might have got a bit more interest from people but maybe it was misinterpreted as I wasn't asking which era you would choose purely from a football perspective I meant life in general. For what its worth I have two Era's that I would like to back either the 60's or the 80's. (The 70's...
Re: Var vote
I know it is against the grain but I am for VAR. However it does need improvement as does any new law and this will come with more and more practice. Just imagine the fuss if it does disappear and we have wrong dismissals, penalties given or not given etc. Perhaps Wolves and other teams can ask for...

Re: Luke Jenkins
One of the posts on that thread says "Yes he's signed for Aldershot as though its confirmation rather than speculation, wonder if he actually has anything to base that on as nothing announced yet.

Close season - A bit of fun question
As things are quiet on here at the moment I thought that like CH did with his "Close season boredom thread I would also start a thread some people may like to join in on. So here is the question:
If you could go back in time to any decade which one would you choose and why
