Re: Players cheating
You've got to spot it , in the first instance. Simple enough in the PL where every move is covered by camera. Even down to amateur level, players are coached to go down at a touch if it's an advantage .Can't expect the poor old refs to sort it out, it's a societal thing and I'm sorry to say we've g...

Re: Sarfend
The consortium behind the takeover bid are becoming very twitchy, unsurprisingly when they have already stumped up over £3m. covering wages, tax debts, etc. All this without a finalised deal. The NL will be following closely, undoubtedly scrutinising adherence to regulations following the Gateshead ...
Re: Leavers
Aca......no i never saw him have a good game... Admitidly only at the end of season did i come to home games. I watched the majority of away. For a centre back he could not head, lacked pace and could not read a game. Other than that he was alright.....you have your opinion, i have mine lets leave ...

Re: Council election
Just catching up with this thread. Really don't think this result can be put down entirely to national politics. The state of Aldershot town does not give confidence that Rushmoor Council have looked after the town well in the recent or medium term past. It's no wonder that people think another lot...

Re: Council election
Back in the early 50s car ownership was pretty much restricted to the wealthy. When an election came around, and the weather was poor, it was only the Conservatives who came knocking at your door, aided by a big black car. My gran always answered positively, when asked if the Conservatives could re...

Re: Council election
It’s the slash-and -burn that worries me. Rushmoor Tories are emulating their Commons counterparts, demolishing Farnborough civic centre with no financially viable replacements. Nationally it’s even more daunting, Gove’s meddling with local planning rules reinforcing Nimby fortresses. At least 3 yea...

He’s far too good for this level. He’ll go to an EFL team, surely. Love it if I’m wrong..

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
No news is good news as far as I’m concerned. For me, the only fly in the ointment is the absence of non-match day income, which would be remedied by ground redevelopment….Oh, wait a minute..

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Yeah, the HSE has tremendous potential, a hotel was originally scheduled for this site, as we know, and there is room to utilise the natural slope to accommodate all manner of assets, all under a nice stand. Whether the budget will stretch is another matter, but putting everyday facilities at the fr...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
I agree that if they wanted to then they could do the development themselves and then lease it to the football club once completed but why would they want to when its easier to just lease all the land and say "If you want it go and do it" plus if they did the development and built the sta...
