Just got home (Philippine home NOT Hampshire one 😆) after watching Davao Aguilas beat Stallion Laguna 1-0 in the Philippine Football League tonight. A 2 x hour journey into Manila took almost 4 x hours with the traffic and we got into our Rizal Stadium seats literally as the game kicked off at 19:00...

Seem to recall our first ever FA Cup fixture (ATFC) had to be played on a Sunday as Bemerton Heath Harlequins has a wedding in the clubhouse on the Saturday!

Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear, but 3 of the names quoted (with the seemed context of improving our National side) were not English.

We could call this competition the Watney’s or Texaco Cup. I really cannot see what on Earth is trying to be achieved here and it just makes me angrier that deep down we are radically changing (sacrificing?) the oldest Cup competition for something as stupid and pointless as this? So if scrapping FA Cup replays was seemingly proposed to ease fixture congestion and then someone thinks about introducing a new competition? Where on earth does that logic fit in? Am I missing something?

God had originally designed Wasps to be the main pollinating inset, but in the end he went for Option B………
