Watching the Shots lift that trophy next week will be magical - what happened today with Liverpoo ain't.

And.......relax !hepcat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:52 pmIf you grew up in the 70's when six different clubs won the title during the decade and QPR came within a whisker, the PL is incredibly boring and predictable with only a few sides thinking they might win it. And apart from that, you had the FA Cup which was still a major competition and on a par with winning the league in terms of prestige and you really felt any club could make the top two Divisions. Nope-its the non league pyramid for me with the NL being the apex. Really couldn't care who won the PL. And seeing as season tickets are being reduced by the Sports Franchise PL clubs in order to get £70 a ticket from more tourists (reduced to £66-maybe- for a kid or OAP) the Franchisees don't give a damn about the fans either. They can stick the whole thing where ever they like. I think its actually getting to the point where overseas subscibers are outnumbering the home version-who have steadily been giving Sky and the franchise league up.

Shame it wasn’t next week because we could celebrate winning it by not having to get up to early on the MondayMe Mums a Shot wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:25 pm Watching the Shots lift that trophy next week will be magical - what happened today with Liverpoo ain't.

In terms of teams winning the league, it is the same all over Europe. In virtually every country the same 3 or 4 teams fight for the championship every year. Yes every now and again you have a Leicester or Leverkusen or Antwerp, but look at the teams at the top of leagues all over Europe and they are the same names (Union Saint Gilloise apart, but that isn't finished yet). Red Star Belgrade won their league before the play offs even started!hepcat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:52 pmIf you grew up in the 70's when six different clubs won the title during the decade and QPR came within a whisker, the PL is incredibly boring and predictable with only a few sides thinking they might win it. Ironically the EPL has had more winners over the last 10 to 15 years than most.

The Scottish league has had the same 2 winners for 40 seasons now, how desperate is that!

Since it's formation in 1956, the Ere Divisie has been won by Feijenoord, Ajax or PSV in all but 6 seasons, and 3 of those were the 1st 8 seasons.Peter macdonald wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:50 pm The Scottish league has had the same 2 winners for 40 seasons now, how desperate is that!

Re: Liverpool Champions
Obviously a different level but Liverpool's midfield just shows what we're lacking. You want your absolute best players in the middle of the pitch. I know people give all the credit to salah and van dijk but you can't overlook what they had in the engine room. I think mac allister is insanely good
