Re: Trains to Waterloo
Thing is mate there could be loads getting on at Alton and Farnham who knows where these one off fans will get on .chimpster99 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 4:40 pm I'm getting on at Alton at either 9.15 or 10.15, so am at least guaranteed a seat! Looking forward to seeing the hordes as we pull into on Platform 1 at Aldershot!!
Re: Trains to Waterloo
Is anyone aware of any news re possible additional carriages on the trains ?
Given the numbers going it could be chaos at the stations if additional carriages aren't provided.

Re: Trains to Waterloo
I’ve been told there’s no buses that weekend, so there certainly won’t be any bus replacements!

Re: Trains to Waterloo
Maybe changes trains at Woking and get a fast to Waterloo. Oh, and leave an hour early to have an hour in the Woking pubs between trains
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Re: Trains to Waterloo
Good work from all involved!
Re: Trains to Waterloo
SWR assuming all supporters live in Aldershot, anyone travelling through Guildford, and there will be a considerable number, have the delight of a bus replacement service and knowing SWT this could be a minibus.
Re: Trains to Waterloo
Looks like these are the additional services:

All calling at Ash Vale, Brookwood and Woking.
There are other services as well - which join up with the services from Basingstoke at Woking (so probably only 4 carriages from Alton to Woking).
Nb. Don't rely on this as gospel - it's just a current indication of what extra services there might be!
