Difference of Opinion?

Post by RobRich »

TW Senior considers TW Junior good enough to be offered a new contract.
Board of Directors not so sure. Therefore conflict between the two parties.
What will be the outcome?
TW Junior, after all , is an employee and if the Board consider him not good enough to stay on, then surely they have the upper hand
Just my thoughts

I’m expecting an announcement that neither the manager or his son are staying over the next 2/3 weeks. Can’t see any other outcome…

Is that difference of opinion, your opinion or is this an actual row?

It may well be, I am not party to their discussions and am focusing on the prospect of Aldershot running out at Wembley! :-)

who knows? Tommy might feel that it's best for theo to try his hand somewhere else.

Also don't forget that this little corner of the world is not necessarily representative and that lots of people have no issue with Theo. It wouldn't surprise me at all if a new contract for theo is a formality for the board.

Isn’t this pure speculation, driven by “insider “ tittle-tattle? Virtually everything this club does is shrouded in secrecy.

One could make the case that a lot of our squad haven’t done enough to justify contract renewal. As mentioned, we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and as a club I have the impression we are hampered by not having a abundant sums to spend on better players’ wages.

History tells us he has only managed small clubs, so he would be out of his depth with a club like us
:D In my humble opinion..Just saying

Surely the board would only be concerned if there is a serious injury/fitness problem ;I would hope they let the management team decide who they want in the side. There's Len Shackleton's famous blank page on what the average BOD member knows about football after all ! There IS a serious disciplinary problem that goes throughout the squad and manager. At this level, injuries are a huge hinderence, but players missing because they punch a D&R player or by getting stupid bookings are something that can be avoided. That might be brought up,but I would doubt it.

What would it take for the different factions on Shotsweb, to lay down their arms for 2 weeks, and actually support the Shots. It would be a great time to boost our players and management's morale. We all need to be feeling joyous and positive now. Wembley appearance achieved, now can we win it COYS

Yes Alf, lets leave to management to decide who stays on and who is released.

Tommy Widdington and BOD should not be distracted by shotsweb opinions, which after all are just our fun opinions.

I am relaxed that my opinions are not well informed about what goes on inside of running the Club.

Support takes many forms, Stevie. You should not infer that just because different supporters have differing opinions that they cannot all be "real" supporters. I don’t believe that is the case at all.
