If you scroll down to 29/4 you will find a feature on Len.Walker which may interest some of you. The author is a well known figure on north eastern non-league football.

That's a fantastic article. So sad that Len is living with dementia and won't be at Wembley, given his Spennymoor roots. Lovely photo of him and Phyllis, and an even better one in a later article of Len with a great hairdo.

One of the best memories, experiences and privileges I had when I was volunteering at the club was I got to talk to Lennie when he was working for Karl at Adline in Basingstoke, the club still had strong connections and living in the town I did lots of fetching and carrying between Karl and the club, usually all facilitated by Len. I talked endlessly about watching him play and the teams he managed, took me back years to my early day supporting the Shots. He took it all with great humour, and yes, he makes a great cup of coffee.
