The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town v Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)
Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town v Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)
This was posted on social media telling fans they need to be at their best for tomorrows game v Yeovil. Perhaps this would be better directed at the playing team and coaching staff?
I read almost 3,000 tickets (home & away) have been sold. Pleasantly surprised as it's now a dead rubber and after recent poor performances I am expecting more of the same with more than an eye on Wembley. It's not exactly cheap so I thought more people would have decided to save more money for the big day out.

I have never said I wouldn't cross the road to watch the team .supershots wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 3:52 pmI seem to recall you saying something similar about our team or are you conveniently forgetting that?lowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 3:20 pmFair play but what irks me is people I know going next week who in the past have said and I quote "I wouldn't cross the road to watch that shower of sh1t "RC-Moderator wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 12:53 pm Let’s not start complaining about tourists. Every club within 2hrs of Wembley would take 3x, 4x its home gate given half the chance.
It’s great that we all get the opportunity to share the day with family, friends and colleagues without anyone missing out.

Fair play but what irks me is people I know going next week who in the past have said and I quote "I wouldn't cross the road to watch that shower of sh1t "

I've certainly never said I wouldn't cross the road to watch **** . I'm talking about people who have never set foot inside the rec and never will . I missed 4 home games through choice since 1994 sssupershots wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:58 pmSomething similar?lowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:53 pmI have never said I wouldn't cross the road to watch the team .supershots wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 3:52 pm

Sorry if its been covered but as both teams play in stripes, will Red and Blue and Black and White be accepted or will one team have to play in a changed kit on the day ?

Red and blue does not clash with black and whiteAnon E Mouse wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 7:46 pm Sorry if its been covered but as both teams play in stripes, will Red and Blue and Black and White be accepted or will one team have to play in a changed kit on the day ?

I agree, however, it would be very embarrassing if we only sold 3000 tickets for a prestigious final at Wembley.lowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 3:20 pmFair play but what irks me is people I know going next week who in the past have said and I quote "I wouldn't cross the road to watch that shower of sh1t "RC-Moderator wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 12:53 pm Let’s not start complaining about tourists. I just hope we can take advantage by putting on a good display, win the trophy and attract more people to attend our games regularly next season. Although I'm not very confident given our current form, Spennymoor's current form and our historical performances in big games with big crowds.

Newcastle v Palace has never been a problem.

Just thought the dark stripe maybe a cause for some concern. Pleased as many a big game the Shots havent played in their home colours or bizarrley chosen not too.supershots wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 8:34 pmRed and blue does not clash with black and whiteAnon E Mouse wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 7:46 pm Sorry if its been covered but as both teams play in stripes, will Red and Blue and Black and White be accepted or will one team have to play in a changed kit on the day ?

The Man Utd one due to a Holdsworth superstition still grates.Anon E Mouse wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:43 pmJust thought the dark stripe maybe a cause for some concern. Did we keep our whites for Rochdale and Carlisle in that cup run too?

Let's hope the players don't talk back to ref ,give any opportunities for silly cards . You get a red for a 50 50 fair enough but for gobbing off at the ref unforgivableAldershot wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 4:37 pm This was posted on social media telling fans they need to be at their best for tomorrows game v Yeovil. This was an embarrassment and showed a total disconnect and respect from the management and BOD to our supporters.Aldershot_Rob wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 8:14 am Did we keep our whites for Rochdale and Carlisle in that cup run too?
